TRUZAN DS provides excellent suspension properties restricting the settlement of weighting agents and drilled cuttings. TRUZAN DS is shear thinning and promotes low bit viscosity needed to maximize penetration rates, and high annular viscosity to ensure effective hole cleaning. TRUZAN DS is stable over a wide pH range and is effective in saturated brines as well as fresh and sea water base drilling fluids. TRUZAN DS minimizes the potential for formations damage and can be removed by acids and oxidants.

TRUZAN DS is used to viscosify drilling completion and milling fluids, to enhance their rheology, ensuring efficient hole cleaning and effective suspension properties.

The effective concentration of TRUZAN DS required will depend upon the base fluid being treated. Treatment levels are normally in the range of 0.25–1.5 lbs/bbl (0.7–4.3 kgs/m³) or as needed. Mix TRUZAN DS through hopper at a rate of 15–20 minutes every 25 kgs sack.

Transportation of TRUZAN DS is not restricted by any regulatory agency.
