Feature And Benefits
TRUGUARD C protects water sensitive shales and clays by decreasing the shale’s tendency to absorb water, swell and sloughoff. TRUGUARD C improves borehole stability and helps promote gauge hole. TRUGUARD C Reduces accretion potential and consequently bit balling. TRUGUARD C Inhibit shale effectively with minimal viscosity and filtration loss increasing, control the clays dispersing.
Product Function
TRUGUARD C functions primarily as a shale inhibitor or encapsulator. TRUGUARD C can also be used as a clay stabilizer in workover and completion fluids, fracturing fluids and acidizing treatments.
Recommended treatment
A typical dosage rate is 1.0 – 3.0 % v/v as supplied. However, dosage rates of 3.0 – 6.0 %v/v may be required depending upon the reactivity of the shale and the amount of shale to be drilled.
