SODIUM CHLORIDE L is presente in densities ranging from 8.4 lb/gal to 10.0 lb/gal. Sodium chloride is chosen frequently due to its wide availability and low cost. SODIUM CHLORIDE L is used to weight up the over all density of drilling fluid. Sodium Chloride Brine is utilized to restrict shale hydration and dispersion. Sodium Chloride Brine is used as drilling fluid, completion or work over fluids to a maximum density of 10 lb/gal (1.20 SG).

SODIUM CHLORIDE L has applications in water base drilling and completion fluids and in the water phase of invert emulsion drilling fluids.

Sodium Chloride Salt can be mixed quickly through the hopper to adjust SODIUM CHLORIDE L density. As saturation is approached, add more slowly to avoid settling in the tanks. Recommended to used as per Salt table to reach desired density.

Transportation of SODIUM CHLORIDE L is not restricted by any regulatory agency.

Utilize normal precautions for employee protection when handling chemical products. Use of appropriate respirator, gloves, goggles and apron is recommended for employee comfort and protection. Refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for this product prior to use.

SODIUM CHLORIDE L is packaged in 1000 litres, 1200 liters HDPE IBC tote tank or in bulk as required.
