It can be prepared in Fresh water, seawater and Saturated NaCl brine. SAFEPLUG setting time can be precisely engineered by additions of SAFEPLUG RETARDER, SAFEPLUG ACCELERATOR and SAFEPLUG THINNER.
Product Function
SAFEPLUG may be used to stop virtually all types of lost circulation, including extreme cases where bridging materials prove ineffective as well as for work-over works for sealing production zones. It has been specially designed to seal off production zones and producing formations since it is completely soluble in 15 % HCl. This property ensures high return-permeabilities.
SAFEPLUG pill can be readily placed using standard rig equipment and drilled through once the problem has been solved.
Recommended treatment
A SAFEPLUG PILL is usually prepared by mixing SAFEPLUG and water in a mass relation of 1.5:1. If SAFEPLUG RETARDER, SAFEPLUG ACCELERATOR & SAFEPLUG THINNER are required,
they should be added to the water first.
SAFEPLUG PILL volume of pill normally range from 50–120 bbls depends on hole sizes. SAFEPLUG PILL should be mixed in
water or recommended non–calcium brine.
