Recommended treatment
Add POTASSIUM HYDROXIDE as needed to control the pH and Pf alkalinity.
Addition should be made by dissolving POTASSIUM HYDROXIDE in water in a chemical barrel. Transfer the solution very slowly into the active mud system as required.

Handling Recommendations
POTASSIUM HYDROXIDE is a very strong alkali and will cause severe burns, when handling or mixing the product, chemical safety goggles with plastic or rubber frames equipped with resistant glass or plastic lenses should be worn. Plastic face shields should be worn in addition to the goggles, hard hats, gloves, apron, respirator and safety shoes should also be worn. See Material Safety Data Sheet.
