POROSEAL is easily wetted and compatible with both oil and water based muds and emulsion. POROSEAL contains a wide range of graded fibrous particles that have interlocking nature which creates a bridging effect at the well bore and a matting effect within the wall cake. POROSEAL can be utilized to sweep the hole or spotted over the thief zone when losses occur.
Product Function
POROSEAL is utilized to combat lost circulation in both water and oil base drilling fluids.
Recommended treatment
Treatment levels for POROSEAL are dependent upon the type of losses to be cured or prevented. Concentration guidelines are as follows : Seepage control while drilling: 4 – 8 lbs/bbl Sweeping application: 15 – 30 lbs/bbl in 25 – 50bbl sweeps Lost circulation: 50 – 100 lbs/bbl
