TRUSCAV™ HS is completely water soluble, contains no heavy metals and reacts immediately with H2S. TRUSCAV™ HS does not require an alkaline environment to neutralize the H2S present in the water based fluid. TRUSCAV™ HS is compatible with all water based drilling and brine completion fluids.
Product Function
TRUSCAV™ HS is a safe and cost effective means of neutralizing the toxic effects of H2S in drilling and completion operations.
Recommended treatment
It is recommended that the fluid system be pretreated with TRUSCAV™ HS if H2S is expected. A TRUSCAV HS dose of 5 ppm will scavenge 1 ppm of H2S. For example, in order to scavenge 100 ppm of H2S, the treatment would be approximately 0.5 l/m³ (0.02 gal/bbl).

Handling Recommendations
Utilize normal precautions for employee protection when handling chemical products. Utilize appropriate respirator, gloves, goggles and apron. Refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for this product prior to use.
