Feature And Benefits
PAG 1000 stabilizes shales by adsorbing onto clay surfaces and preventing the water from entering the clay matrix.
PAG 1000, when it reaches its cloud point, forms a micro-emulsion which not only enhances lubricity, it has also shown to reduce the dynamic fluid loss and filter cake thickness.
PAG 1000 improves the performance of PHPA based drilling fluids.
The use of PAG 1000 enables water based mud usage where oil based systems was previously the only option.
PAG 1000 has excellent ionic tolerance and is environmentally acceptable.
Product Function
Stabilize hydratable and dispersible shales, enhance lubricity and improve the API fluid loss in WBM's.
Recommended treatment
PAG 1000 may be used in conjunction with most other common water based drilling fluid products. An addition level of 3–5% is recommended. Potassium ions are not required although enhanced performance is usually seen in their presence.
Shipping References
Transportation of PAG 1000 is not restricted by any regulatory agency.
Handling Recommendations
Utilize normal precautions for employee protection when handling chemical products. Utilize appropriate respirator, gloves, goggles and apron. Refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for this product prior to use.
