OILVIS II

OILVIS™ II is acrylate based synthetic copolymer supplied as a low viscosity emulsion. The emulsion form mixes easily and yields rapidly, simplifying both onshore and offshore handling. It requires less time, energy and equipment to mix than typical amine treated bentonite. It can be used alone or in conjuction with amine treated bentonite.

Feature And Benefits
OILVIS™ II generates viscosity quickly and helps in rapid mud replacement in the event of lost circulation. OILVIS™ II acts synergistically with bentonites to give better performance than that of either product alone. Unlike bentonite, viscosity generation is fast, predictable and controllable. OILVIS™ II is compatable with most other addatives commonly used in oil based drilling fluids and has a thermal upto 275˚ F.
Product Function
OILVIS™ II will produce a rapid and predictable increase in low shear viscosity in oil based ,invert emulsion drilling fluid. OILVIS™ II will increase the yield point and gel strength of the fluid to provide carrying capacity for cuttings and suspension of the weighing agents. A high gel strength decreases the settling rate of weighting agents, allowing for onshore mixing.
Recommended treatment
The normal treatment for OILVIS™ II is 2 - 4 lbs/bbl dependent upon solids content of the drilling fluid.
Shipping References
Transportation of OILVIS™ II is not restricted by any regulatory agency.
