OILTROL™ controls HTHP fluid loss on wells where the bottom hole temperature exceeds 200⁰C (392⁰F). OILTROL™ particle size distribution is optimized to ensure the lowest concentration possible is needed to provide required fluid loss control. OILTROL™ contributes to emulsion stability and has little effect on rheology.

OILTROL™ is effective in controlling HTHP fluid loss in oil base drilling fluids.

OILTROL™ treatment levels are 2–10 lbs/bbl (5.7–28.6 kgs/m³). Actual concentrations required should be determined by pilot testing and encountered bore hole conditions.

Transportation of OILTROL™ is not restricted by any regulatory agency.

Utilize normal precautions for employee protection when handling chemical products. Utilize appropriate respirator, gloves, goggles and apron. Refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for this product prior to use.
