OILMUL™ HT is equally effective in all types of base oils, including diesel, crude and low aromatic mineral oils. OILMUL™ HT will function as a single component emulsifier/wetting agent in invert emulsions with calcium chloride, sodium chloride or fresh water in the internal phase. OILMUL™ HT can be used to treat water contamination and ensure oil wetting of barite when it is added quickly to the mud system.

OILMUL™ HT can be used to formulate highly stable emulsions for controlled as well as relaxed filtrate mud systems.

A relaxed filtrate system will require 0.50 – 0.75 gallons per bbl (approx. 12 – 18 liters per m³) of OILMUL™ HT. Controlled filtrate systems would require 1.0–.5 gallon per bbl (approx. 24 – 36 liters per m³). When rapid additions of barite are made to a mud system, 1.0 gallon per bbl 23.8 liters per m³). OILMUL™ HT should be added for every metric ton of barite added.

International shipping agencies classify OILMUL™ HT as a combustible liquid under UN Number 1993.

Utilize normal precautions for employee protection when handling chemical products. Utilize appropriate respirator, gloves, goggles and apron. Refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for this product prior to use.

OILMUL™ HT is packaged in 55 USG (208 liters) steel drum.
