OILGEL™ PLUS will viscosify mineral, diesel and crude oil. OILGEL™ PLUS does not require the presence of water to activate the clay and the majority of its viscosity will be obtained from mixing in the surface system. OILGEL™ PLUS increases the yield point and gel strengths of all oil and invert drilling fluids. OILGEL™ PLUS will ensure suspension of weight material in newly formulated invert emulsions mixed at surface.

OILGEL™ PLUS is an effective viscosifier for low toxicity and conventional oil and invert emulsion drilling fluids.

OILGEL™ PLUS is normally added in concentrations of 2.0–10.0 lbs/bbl (5.7–28.6 kgs/m3). The actual treatment required will depend upon the specific properties of the drilling fluid or oil to be treated.

Transportation of OILGEL™ PLUS is not restricted by any regulatory agency.

Utilize normal precautions for employee protection when handling chemical products. Utilize appropriate respirator, gloves, goggles and apron. Refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for this product prior to use.
