Feature And Benefits
MICRONISED BARITE is chemically inert to all drilling fluid additives. MICRONISED BARITE is ground to such a particle size that D90 values is less than 36 microns and D50 values is less than 15µm. This ultrafine nature of the particles helps to keep the sag factor to minimum in a high density water base or oil base mud.
Product Function
MICRONISED BARITE is an effective means of increasing and/or maintaining drilling fluid density. MICRONISED BARITE is used to weight up mud system up to 21.0 ppg (SG 2.52).
Recommended treatment
MUD PER BBL Barite required per 100 bbl of mud = 1470 (W2 – W)lb/(35 – W2) Where: W1 = Initial mud density (lb/gal) W2 = Desired mud density (lb/gal) MUD PER M3 Material required = 4100 (SG2 – SG1) kg/(4.3 – SG2) Where : SG1 = Initial mud specific gravity SG2 = Desired mud specific gravity
