Feature And Benefits
LOPAC™ provides filtration control and stabilizes the rheological properties of most water base drilling fluids.
LOPAC™ provides fluid loss control and gives low plastic viscosity values when added to the drilling fluids.
LOPAC™ is effective in fresh water and salt based fluids and at low concentrations has the ability to reduce the rheology of flocculated and high solids fluids.
LOPAC™ has a strong affinity for clay surfaces and will restrict their hydration and dispersion.
LOPAC™ is not susceptible to bacterial attack.
LOPAC™ has shown to provide stable filtration control at bottom hole temperatures in excess of 300⁰F (149⁰C).
LOPAC™ has a high tolerance to divalent ions and is effective over a wide pH range.
Product Function
LOPAC™ will control fluid loss in most water base drilling fluid system with little or no effect on viscosity.
Recommended treatment
Concentrations in the range of 0.25–3.0 lbs/bbl (0.7–8.6 kgs/m³) are required to maintain filtration control with LOPAC™. The actual treatment will depend upon the composition of the drilling fluid and drilling conditions encountered.
Shipping References
Transportation of LOPAC™ is not restricted by any regulatory agency.
