Feature And Benefits
K-WET is a powerful oil wetting agent for invert emulsion drilling fluids. K-WET is effective in mineral oil and diesel oil base drilling fluids. K-WET ensures oil wetting when large volumes of drilled solids enter the mud or when large additions of barite or other weighting agents are made to the drilling fluid.
Product Function
K-WET is a highly effective oil wetting agent which also contributes to emulsion stability and HTHP fluid loss control.
Recommended treatment
The normal treatment for K-WET is 1–2 lbs/bbl (3–6 kgs/m³) dependent upon solids content of the drilling fluid.
Shipping References
International shipping agencies classify K-WET as a combustible liquid under UN Number 3082.
Handling Recommendations
Utilize normal precautions for employee protection when handling chemical products. Utilize appropriate respirator, gloves, goggles and apron. Refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for this product prior to use.
