Product Function
The principal use of HEC L is the attainment of viscosity in drilling, completion and work over fluids. Fluids viscosified with HEC L will exhibit high apparent viscosity, high yield point and low fragile gel strengths.
Recommended treatment

As a general viscosifier for workover and completion fluids(0.25 to 0.75 gal/bbl)
As viscosifier in carrier fluid in gravel packing(0.0 to 1.0 gal/bbl)
For viscous hole sweeps in horizontal drilling(0.50 to 0.75 gal/bbl)
For carrying capacity in clean fracture fluids (0.50 to 1.00 gal/bbl)
It is highly advisable to decide dosage based on pilot testing.
Special Use
1. As a viscosifier in NaCl, KCl and CaCl₂ brine upto 250 °F
2. As a thickener for CaBr₂ upto 150 °F.
