Will not plug downhole equipment at high concentrations. User is advised to consult with equipment or tool company before using extra coarse material. Maintains control on fluid losses and has been effective to reduce loss of slurries in cementing operations. Reduces torque and drag in tight holes, slide drilling and in landing casings. I increases strength / pressure gradient of weak formations. Provides excellent bridging and lubrication properties. Good prevention of differential sticking and stuck pipe. Very little effect on mud flow properties. Chemically inert; it can be mixed easily with water, oil and synthetic fluids and is compatible with fibers and mineral blends.

GRAPHITE POWDER is used as lost circulation additive for synthetic-based, oil–based and water–based fluids. It also helps in controlling partial and seepage losses and as solid lubricant in WBM in addition to liquids, for torque and drag reduction.

The recommended treatment for partial losses is 20 to 50 lb/bbl (57 to 143 kg/m3). It can be used in combination with other lost circulation materials to control partial to severe losses.

Transportation of GRAPHITE POWDER is not restricted by any regulatory agency.

Utilize normal precautions for employee protection when handling chemical products. Utilize appropriate respirator, gloves, goggles and apron. Refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for this product prior to use.
