Feature And Benefits
FCL is an effective deflocculant in a wide range of water base drilling fluids systems. FCL is effective at temperatures in excess of 150oC (302oF). FCL provides fluid loss control and acts as an emulsifier of oil in water base drilling fluids.
Product Function
FCL is used to prevent salt flocculation of bentonite and controls rheology in high, low solids and salt based drilling fluids. FCL minimizes the effects of high temperature gelation.
Recommended treatment
Recommended treatment for F C L is generally 0.5–8.0 lbs/bbl (1.4–23.0 kgs/m³) depending upon solids content and degree of salinity. A pH range of at least 9 is required to ensure product solubility and effectiveness.
Shipping References
Transportation of FCL is not restricted by any regulatory agency.
Handling Recommendations
Utilize normal precautions for employee protection when handling chemical products. Utilize appropriate respirator, gloves, goggles and apron. Refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for this product prior to use.
Standard Packing
FCL is packaged in 25 kgs multiwall paper sack.
