DRILLTEX K

DRILLTEX K is a high molecular weight modified hydrocarbon compound of Potassium Asphalt sulfonate additive, used to stabilize shale sections and reduce torque and drag for both water and oil base drilling fluids. In addition to providing the same qualities of DRILLTEX it contributes water–soluble potassium ions to the mud system. This is beneficial to those areas that require the specific action of Potassium to adequately minimize water induced clay swelling.
