Feature And Benefits
DME™ is utilized to emulsify any oil that is added or enters a water base drilling fluid during normal operations. DME™ facilitates the formation of a tight emulsion in all water base drilling fluids. DME™ is compatible with all water base drilling fluid additives and is not susceptible to salt or cement contamination. DME™ effectively reduces high temperature filtration and rheological characteristics. DME™ exhibits thermal stability in excess of 400˚F. DME™ reduces bit balling and the potential for differential sticking.
Product Function
DME™ assists in the formation of tight, stable oil in water emulsion in all water base drilling fluids.
Recommended treatment
The concentration of DME™ required to emulsify oil in the drilling fluid will be dependent upon the oil content, as determined by retort analysis. The normal treatment range is usually 0.5–1.0% by volume.
Shipping References
Transportation of DME™ is not restricted by any regulatory agency.
Handling Recommendations
Utilize normal precautions for employee protection when handling chemical products. Utilize appropriate respirator, gloves, goggles and apron. Refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for this product prior to use.
Standard Packing
DME™ is packaged in 55 USG (208 liters) HPDE drum containing 205 kgs net weight.
