Feature And Benefits
CFL is an effective deflocculant in a wide range of water base drilling fluids systems.
CFL is effective at temperatures in excess of 150⁰C (302⁰F).
CFL provides fluid loss control and acts as an emulsifier of oil in water base drilling fluids.
Product Function
CFL is used to prevent salt flocculation of bentonite and to control rheology in high and low solids salt based drilling fluids.
CFL minimizes the effects of high temperature gelation.
Recommended treatment
Recommended treatment for C F L are generally 0.5–8.0 lbs/bbl (1.4–23.0 kgs/m³) depending upon solids content and degree of salinity. A pH range of at least 9 is required to ensure product solubility and effectiveness.
Shipping References
Transportation of CFL is not restricted by any regulatory agency.
Handling Recommendations
Utilize normal precautions for employee protection when handling chemical products. Utilize appropriate respirator, gloves, goggles and apron. Refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for this product prior to use.
