Feature And Benefits
Calcium Chloride Brine is presented in densities ranging from 8.4 lb/gal to 11.6 lb/gal. Calcium Chloride Brine is used to weight up the overall density of drilling fluid. Calcium Chloride Brine is used as drilling fluid, completion or work over fluids to a maximum density of 11.6 lb/gal (~1.39 SG).
Product Function
Calcium Chloride Brine has application in water base drilling and completion fluids and in the water phase of invert emulsion drilling fluids.
Calcium Chloride Brine reduces formation damage caused by solids, dispersed clays and clay swelling.
Calcium Chloride Brine can be used in combination with other divalent brines such as calcium bromide or Zinc bromide to reach desired densities
Recommended treatment
Calcium Chloride granules / flakes/ powder can be mixed quickly through the hopper. As saturation is approached, add more slowly to avoid settling in the tanks.
Recommended to used as per salt table to reach desired density.
