Feature And Benefits
BRINE™ HIB is effective against corrosion by
oxygen, carbon dioxide, and hydrogen sulfide.
BRINE™ HIB is non–foaming and performs well
in calcium chloride, sodium chloride and
potassium chloride brines.
BRINE™ HIB is very effective against sulphate
reducing bacteria.
Product Function
BRINE™ HIB is recommended as a specific all–
purpose corrosion inhibitor for solids free
packer fluids.
BRINE™ HIB is formulated to provide corrosion
protection for non and low alloy steel as well
as stainless steel.
Recommended treatment
A normal treatment rate for effective corrosion
protection would be 1 to 2% based on fluid
volume. Avoid aeration of brines treated with
BRINE™ HIB as it will reduce the oxygen
scavenging capacity of the inhibitor.
Shipping References
Regulatory agencies classify BRINE™ HIB as a
TOXIC liquid (UN 3293) for transportation.
