Feature And Benefits
BITSOL™ reduces the surface tension on the steel surfaces to prevent the cuttings and wall cake from adhering to the bit and bottom hole assembly. The BITSOL™ surfactant package also has the ability to neutralize the electrostatic charges on the drill string, thereby reducing the attraction the charged clay particles have for the steel surface.
Product Function
BITSOL™ is utilized to maintain a drill string free of drilled cuttings.
Recommended treatment
BITSOL™ should be added directly into the mud system to prevent bit balling at a concentration of 0.5–1.0% by volume. If balling does occur it is recommended that a pill containing 2 drums of BITSOL™ in 20 bbls of sea water or fresh water be pumped through the bit. In order to avoid aeration of the mud, the BITSOL™ should be added to the mud system with stirring, not through the mixing hopper.
Shipping References
Transportation of BITSOL™ is not restricted by any regulatory agency.
