BIOCIDE™ 2S has a low order of toxicity to marine life and is classified by OCNS under Category E. BIOCIDE™ 2S is easy to utilize and effective at controlling slime and corrosion caused by micro–organisms in drilling, completion, workover and packer fluids. BIOCIDE™ 2S is effective against aerobic and anaerobic bacteria. BIOCIDE™ 2S does not have any affinity for solids; therefore no replenishment is required to offset losses through solids removal equipment.

BIOCIDE™ 2S is utilized to control sulphate reducing bacteria which can produce harmful corrosion. BIOCIDE™ 2S will protect polymers, which are susceptible to bacterial degradation. BIOCIDE™ 2S may also be utilized to control bacteria in injection waters.

The normal initial treatment for circulating fluids is 0.1–0.3% where an alkaline pH range is being maintained. Higher dosage rates will be required at neutral pH ranges and where no further circulation takes place i.e. packer fluids. Daily maintenance of 10% of initial treatment is recommended for circulating fluids.

Transportation of BIOCIDE™ 2S is not restricted by any regulatory agency.

Utilize normal precautions for employee protection when handling chemical products. Utilize appropriate respirator, gloves, goggles and apron. Refer to the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for this product prior to use.

BIOCIDE™ 2S is packaged in 26 kg pail or 55 USG HDPE drum containing 215 kgs net weight.
