AMMONIUM THIOCYANATE is used as a water filtrate tracer in drilling, coring or completion fluids. The filtrate tracer is then used later to identify the fluids sampled from reservoir or filtrate in cores. The tracer must remain in true solution, safe to handle and should be measurable in small amounts.
Recommended treatment
Treatment will depend upon the applications that vary from 50–500 ppm. Maintain minimum of 300 ppm in the filtrate at all times by adding 0.11 lbs/bbl (0.30 kgs/m³) of Ammonium Thiocyanate.

Handling Recommendations
